Tourism: NCAA Final Four in New Orleans

Mouton Media spent over three months working with a consortium of organizations to produce the non-sports public relations for the 2012 Final Four Men’s basketball championship in New Orleans. Public relations pros from Tulane University, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau and more worked together to get the word out and manage public relations for more than two dozen events for fans and the New Orleans community.When it was all said and done, the team promoted 25 events including six major news conferences on everything from recycling to community service projects to major music performances. More than 43,000 fans and community members attended the Bracket Town fan experience at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Approximately 130,000 fans attended the The Big Dance Concert Series, rocking out to the music of Kiss, The Black Keys and Jimmy Buffett and more than 2,300 youths dribbled basketballs down Poydras Street to Bracket Town on Final Four Sunday.
