When First Lady Dr. Jill Biden paid a visit to our client, The Louisiana Cancer Research Center, to support the federal Cancer Moonshot initiative, Mouton Media was there to assist.
It was fascinating to play a role in the whirlwind of coordination between the LCRC and the First Lady’s office. Those kinds of opportunities do not come along often in local markets. The call came in for assistance with media relations protocols on a Tuesday afternoon for the visit three days later. Needless to say, the visit garnered a lot of media attention and was a big success, raising awareness of the effort to reduce cancer in the U.S. by 50 percent within the next 25 years.
