Tulane University’s Police Department (TUPD) turned to Mouton Media for help communicating important safety initiatives. Mouton Media worked with the university to create “Wave Patrol,” an electronic newsletter to communicate important safety information to students, faculty, staff and parents. Wave Patrol features updates from Supt. Jon Barnwell during the school year and has resulted in increased participation in initiatives such as a virtual safety escort program, bicycle theft prevention and nighttime transportation shuttles.  Wave Patrol often results in news media coverage which furthers educates TUPD’s target audience. Wave Patrol won first place in the New Orleans Press Club’s 2013 electronic newsletter category.
